Christine Ritchie, MD, MSPH

Dr. Ritchie is Professor of Medicine, the Kenneth L. Minaker Endowed Chair in Geriatrics, Director of Research for the Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine, and Director of the Mongan Institute Center for Aging and Serious Illness Research at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She is a board-certified geriatrician and palliative care physician and conducts research focused on optimizing quality of life for those with complex serious illnesses and multimorbidity with an emphasis on persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their caregivers. Her research assesses patient and caregiver outcomes related to symptoms, physical, cognitive, and social function among older adults in multiple settings, and the development, implementation and evaluation of care delivery models to address these outcomes.
